Monsoonz: A far more efficient kite
Introduction The WiND-X Monsoonz Ultra Flat Light Wind Bow is WiND-X's 2008 showcase kite. The concept was developed early last year with the intention of having a kite which is more efficient when it came to surface area without compensating stability. Finally, the Monsoonz was produced after being known as "Project Thunderer". The Ultra Flat Light Wind may deceive many. Its not about riding in lighter winds! There will not be a day when there's a kite for "zero" wind conditions. Its about having a much more efficient, smaller kite where almost every surface area is fully utilized. This is a very new concept where straight struts with "in-fill" panels are used in the kites design. There is so much to learn from this design and the room for improvement is great. The Monsoonz should be the benchmark of what is to come in this great sport. With the ultra flat design, the Monsoonz is able to achieve a wider wind range. This kite may offer many benefits but I believe that there is always a kite in the current market to meet the different liking and riding styles of every rider in the world; but we hope that the Monsoonz will meet the demands of the general kiteboarding population. |
